Google returning DMOZ description

My site is showing the DMOZ description, not the description of our /index.html page.

Any ideas why? Our site bounced from page 1 to 9, and is now at page 6. What a show.

Do you think the fact that they aren't using our description is meaningful?

The description doesn't have anything to do with your drop. Regarding the dmoz showing, Joc had a similar issue recently. You might search or wait for his reply.

I agree with Diligaf's point, the dmoz description can't affect your ranking, your drop may be a regular ranking change. Please analyse your website. Good luck.

Had the same thing and ranks did not change because they switched to my dmoz description, it just sucked compared to my sites description tag.
