Revenge of the Mininet - Does it work?
I've posted this in a few other forums as well in hopes that I can combine notes and report back on it.
I'm sure that you've all heard of Revenge of the Mininet, but have any of you used that strategy?
I have seen some success with a small blog farm, but have not implemented it on any of my larger content sites.
I know it's an old concept and that Google hates it, but it seems like it should still work well for Yahoo and MSN. Any thoughts?

Yes, at the time it was worth the money simply because it sparked a few new ideas. I had some success with it back then and have tried implementing it on a few new endeavors.
I had tried similar linking strategies prior to that ebook and test results were positive.
As I mentioned earlier, it appears to be working on the blog farms. If it works well on the blog mininets then no more buying high PR links! I'll have more of my own PR to use as I please. So far the highest PR I've been able to squeeze out of a blog farm is PR4. If I can get some of them up to PR 6 then I am set. (The farm is about two months old)
Everything remains to be seen though because G dislikes the linking approach of a mininet because "it is deceptive".
However, I can't get a read on some content mininets that I've built. After the latest dance with Google, I wish I could find a new dance partner!
So, what it worth it? Well, if you haven't done a lot of testing with link strategies to see what works, it's a good place to start.

Yep, we bought that book. I think it can be part of a wider link building campaign, but that it wouldn't position us only by using that technique. The guy has some interesting ideas, so it's worth reading.
Also, he gives you the money back if you think it's rubbish, hehehe.
