Yeah....
The displayed number backlinks on my hotels site has doubled.....
That was a lightning quick backlink update though.... I checked the McDar tool yesterday afternoon and it was completely flat. Must have checked all the wrong datacenters....
No change in rankings though.... still #*£&#* bad.... haha
Cheers,
Paz.

1. I am aware of no less than 15 high-quality incoming links to my website. Why does the LINK command show only one of them? This is most disturbing, considering the effort required to get those links. (Is "backlink" the accepted way of referring to a link that points to my website and is displayed on another website?)
2. What are some means of monitoring the effects of backlink exports?
3. How many different URLs does Google have that lead to the Flagship, English Search Page?
- Is it meaningful to test results on different URLs?
- How is it determined at run time, which URL a searcher will use?
4. What is meant by Backlink exports “GOING LIVE” ???
5. Does The Google command, “LINK:6LFifddc7ysJ:www.thesilverxchange.com/” display the effects of backlink exports?
6. What is the meaning of this portion of the “LINK” command? >>> :6LFifddc7ysJ: <<<
Thanks for any help I may receive.
Jim

The link: command generally only shows around 5% of the total number of backlinks, so if you're seeing 1 out of 15, you're doing OK.
Do yourself a favor, NEVER use that command on Google. It is worthless. If you want a decent sense of your backlinks from other sites, go to Yahoo and use this command:
linksite:yourdomain.com -site:yourdomain.com
It will show you most of the links Yahoo knows about from other sites to any page on your site. And you can be sure, if Yahoo knows about the link, Google does as well, or will very soon. They just won't report it in their link: query.
