Maximum Number Of Links On A Single Page?

I recently come across Google's Design and Content Guidelines:
- Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).

As my site-map normally of only one page. And i have more than 11,000 pages of my site. So, there is a more than 10000 links on site-map page.

Can it cause any problem?? Because i have less pages indexed.

GoogleBot reads the 100 first links on a page. If you have so many pages, I'd recommend you to get the main pages on the sitemap, and create secondary site maps on every section of your site. Then the spider should follow all the links and get your whole site indexed.

Hi,

Yes there are a couple of things about the Google guidelines.

Firstly, they point out that if you have an excessive number of links on your sitemap, you should break it up. (They recommend max 100 links, but in practice you can have many more up to a max pagesize of 101 kbytes.)

Secondly, they have a sitemap submission service now, which has helped a few large sites like yours get indexed - but I've never used it.

We've discussed something about it here:
http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/thread9686.html

Thirdly, they mention something about creating "friendly" urls ie no session ID's, and no more than 2 variables in any dynamic urls.

Cheers,
Paz.

My site is a yahoo store. I tried to "verify" my site on Google Sitemaps, but have been unable to verifybecause Yahoo html file names are all lower case. Anyone else have this problem?
