Google page rank and back links
I am wondering about google page rank and backlinks. Does backlinks affect PR maily? As many BLs you have as higher PR you will have? is it right?
I have linked to many other website which indexed by google but I have only 97 google backlinks, so extracly what is google backlink? How does google caculate backlinks?
Can anyone tell me that?

hi friend...........
Its not necessary that if you have high backlinks then you will have higher PR.
Because these two things are contradictory to each other.
1. I have visited many websites that have less backlinks but having good PR.
2. I have visited many website that having Good backlinks and good PR.
So these two things depends on the domain competition that how much is your domain competiting and how u r increasing your links for websites.
So actually i think nobody knows about all exact how google calculates all peoples are just working on guess.
Baclink always effects PR thats why on every update when UR PR increases then backlinks also increases.

Hi,
Not All Back Links Affect PR
One of my site has 0 links in Google, but still has PR 4. 
For google its the link relevancy. That means, to whom you are linking?
According to MSN my BLs were 25 (not much work done on site), then also I got PR 4.

More links and more links ...the right way to go, try to put more links on other websites that contain relevant content to my sites, that will boost my sites on the top of SERPs.

ya .but not only linkbuilding boost your site . U have to work on other factors also.

Google page rank & backlinks are related with each other. If your backlinks are more & relevant then it helps in increasing your PR. But it is important to have backlinks with high PR. If your backlinks are relevant & with high PR, then it helps in getting high PR. |
