I own a website that until recent haved very good result in search engines. In fact for some combination of keyords I was number one in search engines (the battle is not so strong just a few real competitors in about 100.000 results)

My website is about stupid quotes and structured in some categories. As I was sayng for the each category I was number one. Recently I add an option to the website and now the contents is daily changed by the users, that are adding their own quotes(number of keywords is increasing, number of the alt attributes too). I must keep the optimizing process continues, and at this momment I don't have any other great solutions.

I have a simple questions, on what categories should I work to increase my rankings.

I was thinking for adding from place to place after let's say 5 quotes my combination of keywords as a link to the top of the page. To decrease the number of the words in the alt attributes.

Any other suggestions ?

I'm not a numbers guy but I have a few pages that are user modified (mine are for the site owner though so it's alot easier but the concept would be similar). Add a few categories to your db, head each with appropriate KW title and then display user text by category.

The second part I don't get. Do you mean what terms you should try to rank for? If so you may want to start here http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ and then maybe check the backlinks for those who rank well to determine the level at which you may compete. If not please re-post.

The alt deal, they're loading images and adding the attributes?

mhm.... the text is shown to the user by categories, but let's say more about this case. I will give the details in english but the fact the website is not in english language.
So as I was saying the website is about quotes, stupid quotes. This quotes are shown by categories. For example:
school stupid quotes
child stupid quotes
lawyers stupid quotes

When visitors add a quote he will write some text, that don't contain my combination of keywords(for example : school stupid quotes). Automaticaly for each quote apperas some images that have alt attributes. (Vote Up, Vote Down, Quote added by User_name)

That report that was published is for one of the category that is in the website.

Makes more sense. Regarding alt attributes it seems you could set them dynamically by category to increase KW or quote to decrease KW's. I don't have any suggestions on the other that would necessarily be better than your original suggestion to add text for link to top or description. Sorry Claw
