Hi Guys,

I have designed a new site for my client i.e. Mayuresh Engg. Works and the keywords i have registered with search engines are ci casting and sg casting. But my client wants them as c.i. casting or c. i. casting and vice versa. Position in the search engines doesn't change much if tried with both options. Does search engines care for thses dots and spaces?. Please reply.

Hi,

interesting question. I know that Google strips the full stops from such queries but wasn't sure about the spaces and points combinations, but I did a quick check on a few other keywords IVA and AGC and it looks like they strip the spaces in there too - so you're ok to target either at the moment.

google dont care for spaces its true.i did experiment....like i generated a report for 30 kWs through software with space before each key phrase and then again generated same report without any space.And Results were same...

Optimize carefully the keywords especially that have two meaning, no doubt by "Casting" here you mean that a process by which a material is introduced into a mold while it is liquid. But your user might find totally irrelivant search results where " Casting" means a vital pre-production process for selecting a cast of actors, dancers, singers in the performing arts or films.

I think these are stop words and are ingnored by Google and other major search engines.

According to SEO, SE's care for these dots and spaces. When i referred the tutorials it was mentioned, but in real practice i dont have any idea.
