Link Exchange Emails

What do you use for your link exchange titles? I'm starting to think that a lot of auto spam protect programs are picking up "Link Exchange" as spam and not delivering it. I've sent out hundereds of emails only to get nothing back. Can spam filters read through your email content? One thing I have noticed is that sending emails from your outlook express can be a pointless effort if you have any virus on your system. The email servers will block the email before it even gets there so I tried sending all of my emails through my webmail and still 100's of emails with no response at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Serpcharger, just some advice I noticed. I dunno if anyone else here uses hotmail for link request, just something I have noticed - Link responses can go as low as 2-3% which makes it very hard to get substantial numbers of links, i think people ignore them because it is regarded as spam. Does anyone have much success using gmail?

Send a message via MSN to seokid
I've tried the same thing with Gmail, the only thing that it will help with is stopping virus' from getting off your system into the email so that when the server sees the virus it stops your email. Hotmail should be okay, you might lose a couple of people because of the fact that it is from hotmail and they'll think it's a spammer but if you have to use free mail try to get a gmail account.

Hi, I asked similar question a couple of weeks ago. It should be here somewhere.. I got some advice from SEO-guy. It really helps. My succesfull percentage up to 15-20%.
For your infos, I use my acount in hotmail. And still got some replies. So I don't think it's relevant.

I'm still doing link exchange right now, and what I can tell you is that.. keep those links on your pages. Wait until 2 weeks, if they do not reply, email them again. Wait until 2 weeks, if there's still no reply, remove them. I often got some replies after 2-3 weeks! So, please be patient. Hope it can help you.

Hello winarcht, there is no way I would wait 3 weeks for a reply to me email for a link exchange, I dont believe anyone has so many emails they can not respond inside of 3 weeks. If my link isnt up inside of a week then I take theres down, keep the details and see if they respond. I have done this quite a few times and the day I take it down the link I get the email "can not see link on your page". If the webmaster is looking for legitimate link exchanges he will put your link up straight away - if he/she thinks your site is suitable.

Yes, that's possible. It happened 1-2 times with me. After I removed their links, I got replies from them. Since I'm a very very patient person, I used to wait until 2-3 weeks
But, thanks..
