Google seems to be down.
Oh dear, I was wondering why I couldn't get into adwords but the problem seems bigger than that.
I can't even search in google.com or co.uk......
Google
Error
Server Error
The service you requested is not available at this time.
Service error -27.
Does everybody else get the same thing ?

Yes, I have had that problem also. Yahoo search also seems to be down. This is kind of strange. I wonder if there is some kind of denial of service attack going on?  |

I am getting the same error in google - but the adsense ads are showing up fine on my website eWebDevelopment.
Yahoo is working fine for me.
EDIT: nevermind, only the public service ads are appearing. ughh... |

Google datacenters in Europe seems also to be down, Spain, Sweden, Germany Italy etc. Maybe they have been hacked?
By the way, how do you hack Google?? Insidejob?

Unethical ways to get hits ?
Things get worse, my email account is being attacked.
First I got an email about :-
I have visited this website and I found you in a spammer list. Is this true?
(This had a virus attached which my firewall detected)
Now I am getting emails which appear to be from a number of valid .com shops saying things like
Your email account is being used for sending large amounts of spam follow the instructions in the zip file attached. (No Chance I am not opening a zip file for anybody)
Now I am getting more through about rejected emails I have supposedly sent, again these have attachments.
I looked the first email up and that appears to be an unethical way to get hits to another site. Which worked as I went to the site that the email came from.
Anybody else had experience of this ?

Just made me realize how dependent we are on Google these days.
Most of my sites traffic comes from Google.
Have to start optimizing for other search engines also, especially Yahoo & MSN !

Well thats another thing. I get atleast 10 virus emails per day, sometimes more. Just try to have a spam filter that takes them out.

But this is the first day I have ever received any and then loads at once.
They all appear to be from valid web sites, so I have emailed the webmaster of each.

BBC UK reports that it is a new form of the myDoom virus so you might be on to something. Careful with opening emails!
