Getting out of the Suplemental Index

I have a new site to work on but the majority of the site is in the Google Suplemental index, The site seemd to have a lot of external .js files and some duplicate content as well along with titles and so on.
The sitemap is also in the sup index?

What has worked for anyone here in getting pages out of the Sup index.

-cheers Robert

The best for now is to try to fix the identified issues like the dup. content and make the tags different. Check the site linking structure to be sure all the pages are supported by a few links and if some are too deep, make a sitemap linked from home to bring the pages less clicks away from home.

yea as Jocelyn said u need to see the site's linking structure i mean those pages in SI should be properly link with other pages on the site and they should be regularly updated to see if they don't end up in SI again..
