SEO popup question?

Hello.. I wanted to ask if this would be a good idea, or not.

My new site im building has some products that will have a separate link within the descriptions, such as Ingredients, size charts etc.....

Each of these links will have a separate page made up with the details within. And each one will be a popup using a popup.js script

For example here is a link(url removed as its not ddne)

<a href="/#####" target="newWin" class="style1" onclick="popUp(this.href,'console',550,430);return false;">Coochy Cream Ingredients</a>

My main question is..... In this new page(popup) should I include the products name at top, linked to the actual product page. Perhaps even put the title in <H1>

thank you for your time...

Or would this be a bad idea for SEO purposes......

Hi,

I'd actually block these popups from the SE's because you'll confuse them as to which is the most relevant page for coochy cream searches.

You could also run into duplicate content issues.

Cheers,
Paz.

Individual on-and off page optimization should be the best possible option since you are starting fresh.Proper marketing of every single page will get you loads of traffic, provided your content is appealing.Just be sure of certain things like adjusting your meta tags properly so that each and every page that you would want to optimize is initially indexed and cached by the web-crawlers.This will help you to get some good SERP'S.

Instead of a Pop-up, why not having an individual page for it. Pop-up can irritate your visitors and most of online users have pop-up blockers.

another option may be to use ajax or a nice flash object so that it doesn't annoy users with pop ups. Then I would create html pages for these and put them on your site map.

just an idea.

Send a message via MSN to pawan
Pop-ups are not consider in SEO point of view, so it should be avoided because we are not allow or block them while surfing any website.
