Scrub Warehouse Buying Number 1 Google position??

I apologize if this sounds dumb but I'm trying to learn.

I received a phone call this aftenoon from an SEO firm in CT wanting me to refer my customers to him - said he would guarantee a number 1 ranking.

I know, you can't buy a Google ranking but it appears that this guy can deliver.

If you Google Scrub Warehouse you'll find a number one ranking for the search. Open the page and you'll find virtually no SEO on the page, a page rank of 0 and 5 total links on marketleap. Look at the URL and you'll also see that this is a mirror page of the actual homepage which has 0 links and 0 page rank.

I don't understand how this is done - - Is it just because there is only one Scrub Warehouse in the world? If so why wouldn't you find the second URL as fast as you'd find the first one?

Color me confused...

Thanks

JJ

WebI
You really need to look at the retarted keywords they are claiming they can rank you for. Examples of hard keywords are VIAGRA, Online Pharmacy, Credit Cards, USA, Porn, real estate, whatever ask them to show you a ranking #1 for a decent keyword "scrub warehouse" is not competitive at all and is far from being proof of ability. Check out http://inventory.overture.com/d/sea...ory/suggestion/ type it in you will se that there are "0" results meaning noone is searching for it, meaning noone would bother competing for it meaning its not a big deal. I would not be surprised if this post jumps to the first page for "scrub warehouse" just because we are talking about it, again no skill there.

As far as guarantees go, noone can guarantee anything, the web and search engines are dynamic constantly changing creatures I have ranked #1 for "SEO Company" for hte last year but I can't guarantee you I will be there tomorrow, or even in 5 minutes as I said to you in PM if someone guarantees a ranking run with your tail between your legs. And btw this does not sound dumb it is a legitimate topic to be sure!

Also check out http://www.google.com/webmasters/seo.html you will see even google's firt 2 suggestions are dont trust SEO's that call you out of the blue and noone can guarantee a #1 ranking

Hi JJ,

I would not spend too much time being impressed. If you look long enough and have enough words on the page odds are you will be #1 for something.

The question is this. Did they try to be #1 for scrub warehouse, or did they just notice it and go with it?

Looking at the keywords they say they are trying for, I suspect it is the later.

They say in their keywords the page should be considered to be about:

"scrubs, medical uniforms, uniform scrubs, discount scrubs, uniform warehouse, print scrubs, discount uniforms, chef coats, labcoats, uniform catalogs"

I don't see the keyword they point out, but I do see other ones so I would be interested in seeing how they rank for those.

The first one is "scrubs". There are less than 1 million pages so it is not ultra competetive. I quit looking after going through 600 of them and they were not there.

On some of the others they do fair, perhaps averaging about position 40 from the ones I checked. Getting #40 shows that you did better than quite a few other pages (if they were trying to rank for that term) but really does not bring in much more traffic than being #900,000.

It is so very easy to rank #1 in google. The only hard part is making that #1 position be the same as the keyword you were trying to be #1 for.

To show my extrodinary magical seo skills, I will try to get this thread to be #1 for silly red rubber kangaroo rats without much trouble. I could then tout my skill as being so much better that the other example because I actually tried to be the "silly red kangaroo rats" king.

Dang! now something else to have to wait on google for.

Hey seo guy don't you think we should be a bit more careful about using scrub warehouse in this thread.

I mean you typed scrub warehouse in the response to web images when he asked about that warehouse of scrub place.

I am afraid that it would not take too many mentions of the scrub warehouse variety to be #1 for that position if just a few days time. If you think that it possible, feel free to scrub this post clean and warehouse it away.

Yeah, scrub warehouse is not a competitive term. As SEO-Guy says, you'll see noone even searches for scrub warehouse. If they can make the same claims for a highly competitive keyword, then they make be able to deliver, but my guess is they can't make those claims.

VIAGRA, I imagine that's a tough keyword.

LOL - Thanks people

Love this forum.

You people have made my day - - almost fell off my chair laughing....

I promise never to be impressed by a high google rating on a non-competitive keyword every again and I promise to scrub carefully before I warehouse my thoughts here in the future....

well, I have heard from some reputable seo companies that it may be possible that google is selling top positions for certain markets/keywords. I find this hard to beleive since they now have an IPO and is a big risk. But im not kidding about seo companies saying this. I was shocked.

Too Funny! Scrub Warehouse - Scrubs Warehouse - Scrub Warehouses - Scrubbing Warehouses - Scrubbed Warehouse - Scrubs

use me

If it was that easy to get SEO business, I would tell clients to search for my last name, eitemiller - I am sure to come up somewhere on the first page of every engine. BTW - there are only like 85 eitemillers in the USA, and most of them don't have a webpage.

scrub warehouse - that is a good one

Good luck with your SEO.
