There are various free keywords suggestion tools you can get some idea from there and it is up to you that which market you are targetting search the targeted market with some competitive keywords and look at content of those sites.you will get some idea from there.

Currently, we only use https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal for generating our Keyword lists. The reason is that if there is no Google traffic being reported for a keyword or it is low, then it is not very important to go after it.

Choosing keywords and refining them is really a very sensitive task. It must be done by highly skilled person. Site performance is depends on the person who dug keywords. Google's keyword tool is enough good tool. I involved in this process for last 2 years and its a long process. Firstly visit the competitor's site and pick the keywords from there. Use any trusted tool and write common keywords related to your business/services and that tool will return in possible phrases. Repeat this process till u found all possible keywords.

That is a nice tool and of course you should go for less competitive keywords but keywords people search for.
