Big Shock
OK... it happened this friday... My site loans4unemployed.co.uk was on page 1 on the keywords 'loans for unemployed' and 'loans for the unemployed' and was doing very well... On friday morning suddenly I was thrown on page 6 and page 10 respectively. After this, I submitted articles to around 25 article directories and also submitted my site to a few web directories and made a change in the home page title. After doing all these... the position is even worst. Please help me...

Major unexpected changes are often just part of some google ranking process. So a listing will go MIA, to come back a bit after... even in better shape than before. I never touch a page or do anything to a site until it's been weeks that I lost rankings... cause most of the time, I never get to make a change and the position comes back on it's own.

MIA = missing in action. It happens sometimes in SEO and when it does very often the best strategy is to sweat it out.
There have been some huge shakeups in the serps recently, especially in the UK serps, where I work a lot.
I'm seeing an emphasis on authority backlinks rather than quantity or anchor text and a loss of emphasis on having keywords in your domain name that may have given you a boost previously. We're also seeing a loss of a localisation boost that a .co.uk domain would have given you previously.
As joc suggests, sometimes the best strategy is to sweat it out rather than make changes that can make things worse. I don't think these updates will stick.

HI Joc/Paz
My sites's ranking is going even down. From 10 to 15th page... And why is it with me only? Is there anything wrong with my site?

The other search engines are not a good comparison to google... so being first on MSN or Yahoo is not an indication of what google should have. I prefer to be #10 on google than #1 on Yahoo.
As Paz said, this shaking and reranking has been going on for a while. It tastes like the Florida update, but, instead of hitting a whole site and everyone at once, and making it obvious the chimp turned the algo knobs... they are spreading it into phases... I saw those "from first page to the tenth" jumps start weeks ago... almost 2 months ago on one of my site.
Some came back a few days/weeks after without a change. I expect a bunch to never come back, that is normal as it happens with any more agressive change to the algo. In a few weeks, and only then, will I try to see if I can do anything about those that aren't back. Most of the time, it's because the page wasn't really worthy of the rank it had anyway, and an indication that I could do better with that page... lol

It's not only with you... I have that on basically all my sites... and it's normal that this happens... it happens all the time, over and over... specially in the summer time.
