Caching problems

Hi friends

One of our clients we have been doing Link building for some time now, they seem to be having problems with pages that seem to be caching the home page rather than the page itself.

See the examples below please

http://www.garnersfoodserviceequipm...to-ovens/41.htm

Use the Google toolbar and use the page rank Cached snapshot of page and you will see. the home page is caching rather then the page there are many more pages like this..

Can anyone help me i am eagerly looking for the help..

regards
Kelly

Thanks for the getting back..

But that is not the reason i am sure of it because we have been doing link building for the inner pages for last 4 months and if you see the inner page url you will notice that we have gained the PR as well..

Anyhowwz i am having the clear idea and reason why it happened.. It was a problem in our htacess which we fixed it

Thanks
Kelly

Wow that is a first... I'd like to see the old htaccess as well please

I don't think it is an htaccess problem, or if it was then you still haven't fixed it because I'm still seeing duplicates; for example;

www.garnersfoodserviceequipment.co.uk/index.php?option=categories&category_id=84&prodCnt=8&sort=
www.garnersfoodserviceequipment.co.uk/p0/knife-sets-holders/84.htm

Cheers,
Paz.

Thanks Paz

htacess was having a problem thats true but mine problem is yet not resolved and i guess Paz is right duplicate urls are the reason that google is showing wrong cached snapshot of page when indexing.. See it below

Paz what should i do to remove the duplicate pages..

Thanks Paz

Hi,

It's a tricky one that I've never encountered before so I'm not sure to be honest. My first thoughts are that you should block the dynamic URLs using a new Google's Webmaster Tools feature - more here.

Cheers,
Paz.

ummm actually what i did is i forwarded the old url to the new one which means dynamic url is when opened is now redirected to new page (static one so i guess in next cached there will be no duplicate urls.. this problem is so strange i really do not understand which direction i should walk in in my entire career life never faced such thing..

Thanks Paz for all your suggestions.. looking forward to get more of it lol
