Time Until Engines Index

Hello,

I fixed a Javascript error that I believe kept my site from being indexed at all. Having fixed the site and resubmitted it, how long until I should start looking to see my site is showing up?

Thanks.
James

It depends...

... last week a new version of a site I was working on went live and the new URLs started appearing in google within a couple of hours. Sometimes it can take a lot longer tho

Got any links to your site James? If those links are crawled every day then at least some of your site should be indexed by Google in two days. Other crawlers will probably take longer.

Site errors a problem?

We have a couple of incoming links, along with OK meta data and rich text -- and we have never been found on a serach engine. That makes me think that I have a big Ugly on the site that is getting me screened.

What is the best way to find out?

Add your URL to your signature so that one of us can check.

You could also try running it through a spider simulator.

www.fornobravo.com

The site is www.fornobravo.com.

Is there a URL where I can find a spider simulator?

James you should use vB code in your signature to make use of anchor text and html text link in each of your posts. You are allowed only 2 links but they will help.

Code:
Pizza Ovens

is an example of vB code to make the link

To create a signature click on USER CP and then on hte left "Edit Signature" you could just copy paste that code provided if you like
Cheers

Signature

Thanks. I think the signature is there.

I spider'd my site, and it seems be clean. I need to do work to improve, but one spider gave the site 72%.

I think this means its time to start by Linking project, which fixing my Alt Text in my spare time. Off I go....

Just a quick open question to anybody. Why do you need Vb for making links? I thought that normal html links are what makes the links in forums?

I presume vB is visual basic?
