Unhappy Banned by Yahoo?

During the last 6 years I have created over 70 portals and mini portals and big
was the shock when I had a 40% traffic drop on last saturday. I checked Yahoo
and found out that all our sites were out of Yahoo without a clear reason. Even more odd is this, the only site still in Google is a site which had different
whois information was it was bought by a good friend of mine.

I have no idea what happened or if my sites are banned for some unknown
reason so any help or feedback is welcome.

Sorry to hear that matey.

Yahoo's site guidelines state they don't want to include:

# Pages that harm accuracy, diversity or relevance of search results
# Pages dedicated to directing the user to another page
# Pages that have substantially the same content as other pages
# Sites with numerous, unnecessary virtual hostnames
# Pages in great quantity, automatically generated or of little value
# Pages using methods to artificially inflate search engine ranking
# The use of text that is hidden from the user
# Pages that give the search engine different content than what the end-user sees
# Excessively cross-linking sites to inflate a site's apparent popularity
# Pages built primarily for the search engines
# Misuse of competitor names
# Multiple sites offering the same content
# Pages that use excessive pop-ups, interfering with user navigation
# Pages that seem deceptive, fraudulent or provide a poor user experience

Rob sullivan has an article about it :

Also check your logs to see if slurp came and visited at all. I'm not clocking many visits from them.

Did the cross linking item hit you in the face? I have been reading in other forums where websites were dropped from Yahoo for that reason.

This cross linking happens when two or more sites from different domains yet on the same shared host are cross linked....correct me if I am wrong anyone.

You would think that Yahoo would understand that there is a possibility that there could be the instance where a domain of one website owner be cross linked to another website (of a different owner) yet both be on the same shared host. This linking should be legitimate linking but would be flagged by Yahoo. Is there a way Yahoo can tell the difference?

Any other input?
