Gift Basket Biz
I am thinking of starting a internet Gift Basket business. Does anyone out their have any tip or suggestions?

Believe it or not its actually a pretty competitive business, but if you geo target your phrases then you can do pretty well, even in just a small area. I know this as I target all of Canada for a client if mine, are you making and shipping the baskets or just going to be an affiliate? If you're going to be an affiliate and you're By Chance in Canada let me know, we can hook you up

Thanks Morgan for the advice. I am thinking of using a dropshipper. Also, i am in the US though. I am looking to start soon.

Hey Mirtisr,
You should PM me sometime as I have lots of resources for the gift basket industry, and I would definitely recommend dropshipping as the way to go.
Once upon a time I use to work in the gift industry. I was one of the first people to organize online order referrals and order sharing (kind of like TeleFlora) for gift basket businesses. I ended up turning that into an Internet based trade association which I sold several years ago (it still exists and is being run by one of the former retail members).
Anyway, there are several message boards specific to gift basket business where you can get lots of input and vendor resources.

Many of these boards are somewhat "clicky" because they've been spammed and hounded to death by vendors.
To avoid further problems, I'd rather not post their info in a public place.
