Google and Dmoz - is google banning dmoz data ?

Hello Friends

A lot of people are using dmoz data through php scripts and any other type of scripts, i have also seen strange results from my own two or three directories from which it seems that google is going to ban the dmoz data in these directories as well as from search results ???????????????????

Any comments ?

just a curious question should websites link to their dmoz listing; I thought google would just do it but it just never shows up for me even when I know It's there

From my findings in the categories that I edit in and on my own sites that I have included, I don't see any change in the effect a listing has in terms of seo, good anchor text, a small amount of PR (a lot if you are lucky), a backlink from Google and possible backlinks and traffic from Dmoz clones.

It cant hurt to link to your Dmoz listing, it recycles the PR passed and creates a healthy cirlce. Good anchor text will in turn help boost the return from the Dmoz category.
