pagerank is a logarithmic scale & within the site there will be certain feedback loops that redistribute the pagerank through the site.
small flat sites will see near or the exact same pagerank as the home page on the inner pages, whereas larger sites with more of a directory type structure will see a steady decline in pagerank display as they filter on down through the different levels of the site.
