No Cap?
I was playing around with a site and found some fairly reliable diffusion that occurred with PR as one goes down in steps along the sitemap. The map pretty much works like this:
Homepage PR5
Tier 1 PR 4 55 links
Tier 2 PR 3 7-25 links 7 links retains PR to next tier & 10 links drops a point of PR Tier 3 PR2-3 <93 links
Tier 4 destination page PR1-2
So it seems to me that getting all nutty with internal links galore will leave you with a pauppers pittance for PR at the end of the game. But I haven't tried going for like 1,000 links per page and keeping the whole site map to just 2 tiers. I've got about 60,000 pages to juggle so it's a daunting task. Haven't even checked to see how many links I can fit into a reasonably sized html page of <100k. Would you argue that the page jumps (tiers) of a site map cause greater loss of PR than the number of links per page?
