ShopNav go away!

I haven't been able to get rid of this ShopNav thing on my pc.
I went to their site and click on the uninstall thing and that didn't work.
I looked it up online about removing it and followed their instructions.
But, it still won't go away.
It keeps hijacking my browser.
Very irritating.

Anyone ever get this thing?

Shopnav prob

I've had Ad-aware for awhile. Even upgrade to 6.0 when I couldn't get rid of ShopNav. But, it didn't help.

Nothing seems to get rid of it.

I'd be in love with anyone who could get rid of this thing!

This ill-begotten shopnav has hikjacked my search engine in IE6 on Win XP Pro and it's like the plague!!! It will NOT search the web as well as AltaVista, Google, or a number of other TRUE search engines. This demon is merely a commercial machine. It doesn't search worth a filp - and I never ever installed it.

I can't afford to buy more and more spyward and adware removers CLAIMING they'll get it, HOPING they'll get it, and still keep these devils around.

Thanks for any help!

To manually remove ShopNav from your computer:

Open the registry editor(click Start> Run, and type 'regedit'), and find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run. In the list of values on the right pane, delete the 'srng' entry.
Open a DOS command prompt window (from Start->Programs->Accessories) and enter the following commands,

For the IE variant:

cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Srng\SearchHook.dll"
regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Srng\IEHelper.dll"

Or for the SN variant:
cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Srng\SNHelper.dll"

Restart the machine and delete the 'Srng' folder inside the Program Files folder.
Open the registry editor(Start > Run > regedit) and delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Srng.
Delete the 'words.lst' file in the Windows folder.
Reset your IE search settings to norma by clicking Internet Options->Programs->Reset Web Settings.

Angry Nothing works!

I have adaware, that doesn't work. I opened the registry editor under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software....Run but I DON'T have an 'srng' entry, so that does me no good. I've searched the machine for srng, but I can't find it....but ShopNav finds me every time!!! Anyone out there figure out a way to get this $%#@* thing off their computer??

I know, I still have it also. Nothing works.
I've seen the instructions that SEO Guy put up before online, but it doesn't work.
I don't have any Srng showing up at all. It must really be hidden.

Has anyone found a way to get rid of ShopNav yet?

I have tried Spysweeper and SpyBot. I tried ShopNav's uninstaller programs, they don't work. I tried the manual uninstall instructions but those registry keys and files are not on my computer. I have emailed ShopNav three times (my last email was a little nasty) and of course no reply. Here is their whois info BTW:
Organization:
Shopnav
Mike Thompson
250 Montgomery Street
San Francisco, CA 94104
US
Phone: (415) 901-0413
Fax..: (415) 901-0420
Email: support@shopnav.com

I can't beleive this is that much trouble to uninstall.

If anyone has any idea about how to get rid of ShopNav please let me know. Thanks
