Hi guys,


I'm finally at the end of some optimization on my site (god it is so time consuming, AMAZING) and i want to ask you guys, (much) more experienced than i am, what you think of this:

1- Is is really better to have images on a page, let's say with some KW in alt for exemple, against no images at all (im running almost all css and flash) ??

2- A SEO / web dev. told me th other day that i should not use more than 1 Flash movie or one javascript per page, does it really harm a ranking ??


3- The more important, i understood, thanks to this forum, that having keyword at the bottom of my page helps -> is it better at the very end of my last paragraph or at the beginning of it ?


Im going crazy with this especially cause it is the end of my work

1. I've found that alt attributes for images have little effect. They should be used where appropriate though to describe the image but not for SERP's.

2. No, as long as you have enough text for the spider to chew on shouldn't make any difference. You can put alot of the js into an external file to reduce extra code and even put the flash in a flash folder blocked by robots.txt if you think it's an issue.

3. Generally, KW in title, in a heading tag, at the beginning of your page and at the end of your page. Use it elsewhere where it makes sense in your page text.

You will have the same results in either case. I have a site that has 2 small flash movies per page and it's doing very well in the serps.


As above-nope.


A good sprinkling always helps-begining, middle & end of page. It doesn't have to be the first & last word on the page, but near the areas.

learned something new - I never knew it was recommended to put the kw at the end of the page as well - never heard it before. Is that considered "common knowledge" for the most part?
