Site Move 3d And Last Time
Hello Community,
I've recently moved my website for the 3d and last time. Consequently I've completely lost my PR which finally climbed to about 5. I've placed a 301 re-direct on the old domain which points to the new domain: http://www.cgets.com (ahh 5 letters). The old domain which is my business name was convenientgadgets.com (17 letters). It seemed important to switch this before establishing a steady online presence. The move took place around 4/28/2004.
I feel pretty lost in the whole SEO world, and was hoping maybe you guys could take a look at my site and throw some suggestions my way. The business just made it past the 1 year mark in March. Unfortunately, outside of Christmas time, it seems as though Im spending more on marketing then actual sales. Thanks ahead of time for any input.
Regards,
dregna

Well I guess my last post was way to vague to induce a reply from the forum. My site is completely dynamic but I have applied a mod rewrite to the product pages and my category pages. This seems to have worked pretty good since the spiders are now crawling my pages. Im wondering if adding a title tag in my internal anchor tags would benefit my site somehow. Is this a good idea? This would just be done mainly on the home page which is static not dynamically driven. All the links which I would add the title to would be internal links.
Since my site move I have lost all my PR. I have placed 301 re-directs on both my old domains to point to my new site. This should help bring my old PR back right? It stinks that I finally had the majority of my pages between 3 and 5 and now all the PR is gone 0/10. Well, thanks ahead of time for any input.

Well it takes time for Google to send PR to your new site. Also read this on Google about changing URLS and this should give you more indepth information on what you need to do
http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html.
Hope the Google Page helps.

The 301 redirect will give you credit for your backlinks "eventually" but it is best to still inform your link parters that you have switched URLS and ask that they change the links. Dont forget to get your main kw (s) as the anchor text for those links.
AS for your titles, get rid of the "Convinient Gadgets" and stick with the KW, your diluting your title. You may want to expand the title algorithm toinclude generics until you can get to manually writing the titles based on KW research.
By suggestion is usually something like "Keyword: Buy keyword products online"
The buy, online and products are generic enough to apply to everything. Then you can go from there

Yep, I'll admit it, I fell in love with the design of Kusadi.biz and did my best to emulate it and still attempt to make it my own. Thanks for the input!

No, Im serious. I loved the nav bar so I studied his source text and figured out how to apply the hover effects over my nav links. I re-designed my site about 3 months ago or so and I wanted all the text to span the width of the page, especially in my product descriptions.
