Can Mod_Rewrite rewrite text documents, my server has a .txt on it that I want it to change each time someone new is added to it.

If I understand you correctly, no.

The only that that mod_rewrite rewrites is inbound link requests to the webserver.

It's doesn't change files. You probably want to look into PHP or something like that. Why don't you just modify the script that is creating the entries in that file?

The thing is, every time someone registers they are added to a text document and that text document has a link to click on there name and I want to rewrite the text document to exclude the link.

Maybe I should look and see what is making there name be linked in the text document, I will go look, thanks.
