Exclamation Questions regarding different currency for same product page

Hello All,

I am currently update my site which selling products mainly in US.

But we have some sub-domain which I have set up for the different currency.

For example:

http://www.domainname.com/product1.html

then
http://canada.dominaname.com/proudct1.html

http://uk.domainname.com/porduct1.html

after a few months running, I have found google hard to found the sub domain link, yahoo always showing the wrong link which always show my sub domain link, and MSN seems ok. As yahoo is a biggest concerns, I feel I may doing the things in a wrong way.

Now, I would like to change everything back to main domain. But I don’t want to showing the duplicate pages to violate the SE’s rules.

So there are some options

Option 1:
(I like this one, but I am not sure if SE’s consider this way may duplicate the same content, and when people search like “Porduct1”, which link will be rank at top ?)

http://www.domainname.com/product1.thml
http://www.domainname.com/product1_ca.html
http://www.domainname.com/product1_ik.html

Option 2:
(this way, may increase the number of page on SE’s, but the first one may ranking high)

http://www.domainname.com/product1.html
http://www.domainname.com/product1.html?c=ca
http://www.domainname.com/product2.html?c=uk

option 3:
(no change on the url, will redirect when they click on the different currency)

http://www.domainname.com/product1.html

OPtion 4:

Just keep the sub-domain as the way it was, but may doing something to transfer the weight to main domain product page.

I am really appreciate anyone could share your experience.

Many thanks in advance.

I don't know what cart you're using, but osc gives visitors the ability to choose currency so you wouldn't need different sub domains.

Hi, thanks for the response. We have hand coding cart by php. and purpose for sub-domain is not the issue for shopping cart but for SE's ranking. As i suppose, when people search product1 on yahoo, it showing the link from main domain. and when they search product1 canada, then it will showing sub-domain link like canada.domainname.com/product1.html. but the result from yahoo is whenever people search product1, it always showing the sub domain link ....

PS: Google seems never show sub domain link, and MSN seems work fine.

Please advise it

If you're setting up subdomains for SEO purposes you're wasting your time.
