Finding Relevant Link Partners
Finding Link Partners
Always go through your competitor's backlinks and then ask those people for a link exchange. There are many people who do link exchange but don't allow their PR to pass on. So whenever you find any website that you want to link exchange with, alwayd double check their META ROBOTS tag and also robots.txt . Nowadays, many people are using the sneaky JAVASCRIPT links, so be carefull. Always double check the site you are linking to is not banned. Even when a website is banned it does take good 2-3 PR updates to get the banned site to PR 0. A good way to check if the site is banned or not is this : site:www.domain.com . If the website shows up in google, then that means they are not banned.
To find more relevant link partners, you can also search for similar pages. Either by the google toolbar or even in the google search results, it's beside the cached link. And there you will get good 31 websites to link to. And not even that, you can go check their backlinks and then start emailing them.
A common question that people ask is : "Should i link to a websites below PR 4?"
Answer is ofcourse. Why wouldn't you? They just won't show up in google's backlinks but you will still get credit for it. When it comes to PR 0, you have to be carefull then. There can be 3 reasons why they have PR 0:
1. It's a new websites/page
2. They have disallowed that page to be crawled in the robots.txt or meta robots tag.
3. The website is banned.
Only link to PR 0 if you think that their website will get a high PR soon. Ofcourse it wouldn't harm your rankings or PR.
Using Google Directory to find your link partners.
Go to google directory and look for your category. Google usually lists website by high PR at top and then low at bottom. Email those webmaster of those websites. If it's not listed by PR, there is an option on that page in which you can choose to list by PR.
Using Other tools to find more link partners
The perfect tool for this is http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/
Put in your competitor's URL in there and this website will show you all the links that are pointing to the competitor's website. Then go through the links that appear in alltheweb or altavista. They even give the websites that have PR 3,2,1 that don't show up in google backlinks. There you go! you found more relevant link partners!
Well This is it for now. If i can think of soemthing more, i will put em in
Hope this will make a good post
Thanks,
Sunny

What do you think about one-way link and two-way link or called : reciprocal links? I think the one-way is better than two-ways but It hard to do. The huge company has strength on this method to increase number of link because if the brandname is a well-known, most related website links to them. How can we do for small business website? Do you have any suggestion to do on one-way without spend a lot of money to buy text ads? Please share the idea. Thank you in advance.
