I would like to know if its possible to legally purchase email addresses and post out targeted newsletters to these email addresses.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this and if so who did you use to purchase the emails from? And did it generate sales?

Many people said that one of the best place to buy leads is TrafficOasis.com. They said that the leads are responsive. But I haven't bought leads because I think the best subscribers are the subscribers who subscribe to my newsletter because they want to do it by themselves. (Not because I buy them).
