B2B -- Business to business.
B2C -- Business to consumer.
B2E -- Business to employee.
Back Link -- Any link on another page that points to the subject page. Also called inbound links or IBLs.
Banned -- When pages are removed from a search engine's index specifically because the search engine has deemed them to be spamming or violating some type of guidelines.

- Bar Coding -- The machine-readable representation of the UPC. Bar codes are read by a scanner that passes over the code and registers the UPC. The width of each black line and the subsequent white space between each line coincides with the numbers of the UPC.
BBS -- Bulletin Board System.
Below the fold -- Content of a web page that is not seen by the consumer unless the consumer scrolls down. BEF -- Belgium Francs (3 letter currency code).
Blind Traffic -- Low quality traffic generated by misleading banners or SPAM. BMP -- Bitmap (eg. filename.bmp).
Boolean search -- A search formed by joining simple terms with AND, OR and NOT for the purpose of limiting or qualifying the search. If you search information on salmon fishing in Alaska, and your search also brings back information on trout fishing and diving in Alaska, the Boolean search "salmon AND fishing AND Alaska NOT diving" can narrow your search focus.
Bot -- Abbreviation for robot (also called a spider). It refers to software programs that scan the web. Bots vary in purpose from indexing web pages for search engines to harvesting e-mail addresses for spammers.
BOW -- Best of the Web.

BTF -- Below the fold. Browser -- Short for Web browser, a software application used to locate and display Web pages. The two most popular browsers are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Both of these are graphical browsers, which means that they can display graphics as well as text. In addition, most modern browsers can present multimedia information, including sound and video, though they require plug-ins for some formats.
Byte -- 1 Byte = A single character or space.
